
POMPETTE BAKERY
The project aimed to redesign the user interface of Pompette Bakery’s website to enhance usability for browsing the menu, contacting the bakery, and pre-ordering online. Inspired by Pompette Bakery’s commitment to offering premium French pastries in Toronto, the redesign focused on aligning the interface with their brand identity and goals. Through thorough research on the company and competitor analysis, I developed low and high fidelity wireframes, refining them based on peer feedback to create a prototype that effectively communicates the bakery’s essence and ensures a seamless online ordering process.

Pompette Bakery’s existing website lacked the visual representation and user-friendly interface necessary to effectively communicate the bakery’s story, menu offerings, and brand identity. The challenge was to redesign the website to accurately reflect the bakery’s essence and make it easier for customers to navigate and place orders.
STRATEGY
Utilizing design thinking, the approach involved extensive research into Pompette Bakery’s background and competitors’ websites. Low and high fidelity wireframes were crafted to visualize and refine design concepts, incorporating peer feedback to ensure a seamless and visually appealing user experience. Leveraging modern design principles and user-centric design, the strategy aimed to accurately reflect the bakery’s essence and make it easier for customers to navigate and place orders.


PROCESS
Research into the bakery’s story, mission, and competitors informed the creation of wireframes, refined with peer feedback. A detailed style guide ensured consistency in design elements.
TAKEAWAY
Throughout this project, I learned the importance of understanding a client’s brand identity and target audience to create a website that effectively communicates their message and meets their users’ needs. Collaboration and feedback were essential in refining design decisions and ensuring a user-friendly experience
RESULT
The final prototype effectively showcased the bakery’s offerings and streamlined the user experience, providing a visually appealing platform for customers to explore and pre-order pastries online.
